Raleigh Bikeshare

Raleigh's bikeshare program, known as Citrix Cycle, is a public self-serve bicycle rental system open with 14 stations and one hundred bikes available. The system will ultimately have 30 stations and 300 bikes located in downtown Raleigh, in southeast Raleigh, along Hillsborough Street, and at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The bikeshare program is administered by Bewegen Technologies, Inc. with full sponsorship by Citrix in cooperation with the City of Raleigh.

November 21, 2016: Wake County Contributes $200,000 for Implementation

March 6, 2017: BikeRaleigh Advertises Request for Proposals

May 3-10, 2017: BikeRaleigh Holds Interviews and Public Demonstrations with Top 3 Teams

June 6, 2017: City Council Authorizes Contract Negotiations with Bewegen and Corps Logistics Team

November 21, 2017: City Council Approves Contract

Winter 2018 to Spring 2019: System Planning and Implementation

April 2019: Soft launch with 15 stations

May 2, 2019: Citrix Cycle Ribbon Cutting

Summer, 2019: Phase 1 of Bikeshare program is completely installed with a total of 30 stations.
